Spray Tanning

Spray tanning is a quick and safe way to have a glowing body with completely natural looking results. We use an air brush gun that applies a fine mist of the exact amount of air and tanning solution directly on to your skin leaving an even tan. The sun’s UV rays, including sun beds can cause cancer, dry out your skin and speeds up the aging process. Spray tanning is the best way to achieve a healthy tan making you feel and look your best in as little as 20mins. It’s an Instant result, which time poor people will appreciate with their busy lifestyles.

Consultation: When you come in for the first time we ask you to arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment time, as we have paper work that needs to be completed and also so we can do a full skin and tanning needs assessment and tailor the right tan colour for your personal needs even those with fair skin. This will include a necessary application of a patch test, so you can be confident your tan will come out looking great. After your session, we will provide advice on taking care & maintaining your tan with our home after care check list and tips so your tan lasts as long as possible.

First Timers: we patch test on all new clients: If you haven’t had a spray tan before, it is compulsory to have a patch test 10mins before tanning. Some people are allergic to DHA, resulting in having a reaction to all the sunless tan solutions. Although the allergy is rare, it’s definitely in your best interest in having the test done. A small fee will be charged for the “test patch” which will be refunded against your first tan if you get the all clear to go ahead with the application. DHA is a naturally-occurring compound derived from sugar cane. DHA causes a simple sugar- amino acid interaction that colours the outermost layers of your skin, it doesn’t absorb deep into the skin and it isn’t toxic. The DHA starts to develop within about 1 hour of the tan application and continues for up to 8 hours and up to 24hrs after you shower.  Your tan can be maintained for as long as you need it, with top up applications if desired. Most spray tans have a slight distinctive odour. Some people find this smell strong while others only detect a very mild pleasant smell. It doesn’t stay for long once it has developed and you have showered.  The colour you get from a spray tan won’t wash off, but starts to fade as the layers of your skin wear away naturally. The bronzer is only a guide and is quite intense. Please note this will not be the colour of your tan as once washed off, it will be lighter than the initial bronze colour.Your spray tan application will be applied in a private bathroom shower which is fitted with an exhaust fan so you have a cleaner, more breathable and enjoyable experience. Shower is washed and disinfected after every client and new towels, sticky feet slippers will be provided fresh for every client.

	Black Out competition blend: 12% DHA 2.5X Dark level Bronze: When only the darkest formula will do.This solution is for clients who are not concerned with the long term results of a sunless tan. It’s best suited for medium/dark to Dark skin tones and ideally for clients who desire the darkest of instant colour. Mostly we recommend this solution for body builders, models, performing arts, and dancers etc. Please note: With the high addition of cosmetic bronzers and higher DHA levels, the client runs a risk of patchy fading and uneven lasting results.
	Premium Original: 9% DHA Medium level Bronze: This solution is ideal for those with light to medium skin colour and desire subtle instant colour at the time of application. This formula has micro-nutrient technology delivering a potent blend of vitamins & antioxidants to boost the skins inherent glow while providing a rich natural bronze.

Many of our clients receive a spray tan on a regular basis. But a spray tan is especially important when you want to look your very best for a special occasion such as weddings, formals, parties or before going on a holiday. We suggest that brides have a trial run so that we can choose the best depth of colour required to compliment the overall look- the tone of the gown, the hair and make -up. Your photo’s are forever, so it’s really important to get this right. Consider a practice run for any other special occasion between now and leading up to your wedding. You can make an appointment within 4 days leading up to your event. With our rapid tans, you have the choice of having a tan on the same day of your event. You can tan and shower between 1 -3 hours depending on depth of colour required, and looking gorgeous for your special occasion. We offer a mobile service for wedding parties or group bookings.
