Bridesmaids Duty

• Organise the food and drinks for the bridal party. When selecting, keep in mind that small bite size finger foods are best. E.g. platters of fruit, meats, cheese & crackers, open sandwiches, are ideal. Don’t forget the straws for the drinks.
• What is the bride's favourite music?
• Take snapshots you can laugh at later to preserve the memory.
• You could watch a movie (My Big Fat Greek Wedding or Father of the Bride).
• Organise a herbal bath for the bride (don't get your hair wet though).
• Organise the payment envelopes, e.g. florist, make-up artist and hairdresser (it can be embarrassing to ask later when the bridal party is with the photographer)
• Check the flowers when they arrive (remember who's who). Sort out any housekeeping, etc.
• Get dressed and then be available to help the bride into her gown.
• If the veil is to be taken out after the ceremony, then I will show the bridesmaids how to do this without spoiling the hairstyle.
